I AM - UPDATE

Apparently, with the delays from the weather, holidays, etc. my tag renewal was "received" Jan. 3. Grrrrrrr!! So it ended up costing me $40+ dollars to renew my tags. The tags are now due for renewal in January of 2008. However, the emissions inspection is still due in November of 2007. I asked if a reminder would be sent out and was told "No, you'll have to remember that the emissions are due then". So, I have to get the emissions done in November and then hang onto the paper until the plates come due in January. Then put the sticky tag from the emissions on the renewal and send it in.

GOD TALK

The guy in the next cubicle is having a discussion about God and trusting Him. He is having the discussion with another one of the guys in the group. The one is a very religious person of a Protestant religion. The other was raised a Mormon but is not practicing and apparently cobbling together his own beliefs. This is not the first discussion of this nature and probably not the last. I am just trying to figure out why they have to have it there. I wish they would go somewhere else to have their discussion. I have nothing against their discussing religion and beliefs if they want - just go somewhere else to do it.

I AM

ticked!!!!!! My plates on my van ran out in November. I spaced the card, found it in December, made out a check, and sent it in. I sent it in two days before the first blizzard. I have seen or heard nothing about the tag for the plates since. I called today. I found out the renewal was sent back to me yesterday because it was past the expiration date. I thought you had a 30 day grace period to get the tags renewed and on the vehicle. Now instead of $29 to renew, it will cost me $40+. Once I get it back I will be taking time off work to go to the DMV and get this taken care of. Why in the world did it take this long? Was it because of weather? What??????
